Mrs. Basham was able to get a science and literature project funded by Donor's Choose for her third grade class. Her class read the book, Poppy, by Avi, and then dissected owl pellets as a science project. They received a copy of the book to keep and had an amazing, hands-on science experience. What a great way to end the school year!
CIS 5th grade students took time off to plant some pumpkins today!
Golden's Field Day was a blast! Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers for helping out, and special thanks to Mrs. Golden for all of her hard work and preparation!
Little Big dropped by CIS yesterday! We learned to use a compass both to see which direction we were going and to go a specific direction.... our students loved it!

May is Mental Health Awareness month! CIS students took some time on Monday to learn about mental health, spent time outside, and participated in “chalk the walk” to spread positive messages to students and staff 💚
