It is recommended that each student have an extra set of clothes in their locker in case of an emergency, so they can change and return to class. It is that time of year when parts of the playground may be muddy as well as any other accidents that may take place.

So Many Activities, So Little Time.....
Students who are involved in extracurricular activities--from chess club to cheerleading to chorus -- tend to have higher self-esteem and stronger connections to school.

"PAWS for Reading"
March will be PET themed with classroom reading logs as well as pet picture contests, activities and movies to fill the month of March Reading!

Jump Rope for Heart - Cheboygan Intermediate School will be participating in their annual Jump Rope for Heart event again this year. The event will be the week of February 25th - March 1st. Students will participate during their physical education class time, engaging in a variety of activities including, short ropes, long ropes, skip its, twirl & jumps and chinese jump ropes. Students will be provided with snacks.

This event is a great way for students to think about others and to help support the American Heart Association. Students can earn prizes based on the amount of donations they collect. A portion of the money raised will benefit our physical education program that will allow us to purchase new equipment.

Cheboygan Middle School received a $500 grant from Blarney Castle and Exxon Mobile for the promotion of math and science. Thank you Blarney Castle for your support!!

School will begin at 8:02am and dismiss at 3:02pm. Please remember that all bus and transportation changes MUST take place at the Bus Garage before noon at 231-627-4422, half day changes being made 24 hours in advance.

Exciting news this year is Free Breakfast and Hot Lunch will be offered to ALL K-7 students in the district. We need all parents to please fill out the survey provided to you from the school office to be able to continue this throughout the school year.

CIS will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart on Thursday, March 1st and Friday, March 2nd. Students in grades 3-5 will be collecting donations prior to this event. Money raised will benefit the American Heart Association, (CIS will earn certificates to purchase new Phys. Ed. equipment based on amount raised)

Save the Date! The Eighth Annual Andrea Gimble Holiday Market to Benefit Educational Elementary Field Trips will be held on Thursday December 7, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Creative Craft, Delicious Edibles, the Popular Wreath Drawing and Delectable Dining at Mulligan's on Main Street. Come ring in the Holiday season and celebrate Hospitality Night in Cheboygan!
